Capcom making a theatrical release for their game Lost Planet.

Would be a live-action Hollywood production. Script writers and production cast for the movie take the stage. Discusses how games are now evolving and creating involved storylines and presenting emotions such as love. Movie planned for 2011. David Hayter involved with screen writing the new film. Movie will be in production with Warner Bros, Seaside Entertainment.

Keiji Inafune, creator of Lost Planet, discusses how original game was created to be like a live-action movie. In the game included immense vistas of the ice planet, love story, massive robots. Not a lot of people understood the transition to an eventual live-action film that the game wanted to make. It was a great pleasure for him to hear the game would definitely be making an appearance onto the silver screen.

Seaside Entertainment says how they are excited for getting their hands the new property. Philisophia, a new Japanese film distribitor company, is excited to bring the property over for an English movie adaptation.

Capcom Limited glad with film adaptions of previous games: Street Fighter and Resident Evil. Honored to work with the script writing team to bring the Lost Planet game to life. Plans to make other Capcom properties into movies in the future.

Conference closes. They spent the whole time only talking about the Lost Planet Movie…

Ubisoft closes with one final announcement. Trailer shown for a new action title.

Small group of guys running after the main character. Main character drops a bottle of water, and the group of guys go after it. Shows an apocalyptic world where a metropolitan city is destroyed. Sort of looks like a Cloverfield scene with one skyscraper building leaning against another. 6 days earlier, main character is shown walking the streets of a modern day environment. Everything looks fine until a huge dust cloud brushes through the city. New game is called “I Am Alive.”

New Prince of Persia is shown. Critics already claiming game will contend to be game of the year. Coming Holiday 2008. Ellica, female character that moves alongside you. She never falls behind and can save you if you die. Helps you go further, go faster. Open world, player can choose the path you want to take.

When interrupted by an enemy, enter combat mode. Centers around the idea of a duel. You and Ellica versus the enemy. Sense of urgency of a boss battle versus every enemy. Acrobatic combat and dynamic camera angles.

Climbing and moving through environment improved to allow casual players able to move around without having to die all the time. If you fall off, Ellica acts as a safety where she will seamlessly bring you back to the previous platform. This avoids having to go through a continue screen just to try again.

Small emphasis on the look and feel, artisitic direction of the new Prince of Persia. Everything in the game world looks beautiful.
