The Sequel To Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan! May 17th!

April 30th, 2007
shinobiscott

Moeru! Chinetsu rhythm damashi!

The sequel to the cult classic Japanese import DS game “Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan” or just Ouendan for short, will be hitting Japan and local importers in less than three weeks from now.

The new title of the famous original is even longer and more difficult to say, “Moeru! Chinetsu rythem Damasii” (translation: Burn! Hot blooded rythem sprit!) will finally break the horribly long drought of rythem/music based (read: fun games) games for the DS. From various released screenshots of the game it seems that the American version of Ouendan known as Elite Beat Agents, seems to have had some effect in the more polished look of the game’s interface. This should make Ouendan 2! an even more challenging and entertaining game than before.

If you haven’t reserved your copy, you should do so now or you may have to just read about other peoples experiences with the game while you cry yourself to sleep clutching your Ouendan-less DS. Check back a review/impressions of this game shortly after its official relelase.

So here’s the intro movie to Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS. Turns out after playing this title for awhile, its somewhat a cross between the gameplay of Final Fantasy XII and some Tactics. Kind of weird but cool at the same time…

Atlus this time has a very very pretty jewel on their hands. After only playing this title for about an hour, all I have to say is, gorgeous. Odin Sphere is just too pretty to look at. The voicing is not that bad either! However, if you have taste for the original Japanese voices, you can simply turn them on during the title menu. Check out the gameplay above!

I’m sure this is old news, but its nice to know CAVE is still pumping arcade shmups out like there’s no tomorrow. In fact, I swear its them, random bad ass fighters (Melty Blood / Arcana Hearts), and SEGA keeping the arcades alive.

Call of Duty 4

So what’s more important? The NFL Draft on ESPN Sunday or Latest Scoop on Call of Duty 4? Either way, we’ll bring you the info on 1PM EST, on that day. And if you realize there’s more NFL info than Call of Duty 4, or vice versa, then you’ll know the latter was just too boring…

REVIEW: Puzzle Quest

Puzzle Quest DS

After hearing how the Penny Arcade guys freaked out over this, I figured it was worth a look. So I spent most of Sunday driving around my town to find a Gamestop that had a copy in stock, and played it for a few hours straight, getting a massive headache in the process. This was after playing it for several hours, of course.

SNK VS Capcom: Card Fighters DS Is Out, BUT…

April 25th, 2007

Card Fighters DS

If you guys are old school gamers, then you’ll probably know about the Neo Geo Pocket. Probably one of the best handhelds that never got the love it deserved. Its one of the first handhelds that actually had a bad ass fighting game and one of the best card based action game, using SNK and Capcom characters. This is waaay before Pokemon and definitely way before Digimon. And if you’re like who spend countless hours trying to collect all the cards and duel with your buddies, then you should be super excited that the SNK Playmore today, released Card Fighters DS! Unfortunately….I CAN’T FIND THIS BAD BOY ANYWHERE!!!

I’m sure everyone that’s been visiting the VGO, must be wondering what the hell…well, we recently went under some reconstructive surgery. Decided, we will go with a more simple approach and keeping it trendy for you folks out there. This new site also tailors with the magazine we have out there and hopefully, we’ll stick with this new look for sometime as well. Please excuse all the mess as we’re still moving stuff here and there. And hopefully by the end of the day, we’ll have our store back up, courtesy of our bad ass MarkMan!
