Small discussion of what’s to come beyond Holiday 2008. God of War III wil lbe coming to PS3. Small teaser trailer of lightning and then a close up of Kratos’ eyes is shown.
Developed by Soccerpunch, the guys that brought us Sly Cooper, will be bringning a game called Infamous to the PS3. Will be available Spring 2009.
Zipper Interactive to bring out a new action mmo called MAG: Massive Action Game. Will be a game only possible on the PS3 hardware. Will allow 256 players in massive online battles and helo insertions. Game will be squad based with teams of up to 8, each led by a leader who has proved him or herself through experience. There will be a chain of command system allowing long term character growth.

Sony Online Entertainment working together with Jim Lee to bring us DC Universe Online. Will be playable on the PS3.
80gb system will be the company’s primary focus. They will be releasing an 80gb with the current 40gb’s functionality. The new core pack will retail at $399.99.
Video shown of developers and their experience with finally getting a good grasp on the new technology. Making use of the cell processor to “really push the technology further” and long term developments. Developers shown for Call of Duty, Madden, Far Cry 2, Fall Out, Prince of Persia, Star Wars The Force Unleashed, Bioshock.

Entertainment pack for Madden coming in Fall.
In October, a new family friendly entertainment pack is also coming. Features Ratecht and Clank: Size Matters, National Treasure 2 on UMD, 1GB Memory Stick, and a PSN Voucher for Echochrome. Will retail at $199. Hopes to bring same enjoyment that the Daxter Pack brought when it was first released.
New PSP titles on the way. Titles shown include Resistance: Retribution, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Madden 09, Locoroco 2, NBA 09 The Inside, Super Stardust Portable, Lego Batman The Videogame, Patapon 2, Buzz Master Quiz, and Valkyria Chronicles.

PlayStation Home launching soon. Players can participate in this new community experience, compete, share, and brag about gameplay accomplishments. New video shows off living game spaces from Uncharted, Resistance, and Warhawk.
PlayStation Video service will allow download of full length movies. Studios participating include: sony Pictures, Fox, MGM, Lionsgate, Warner, Disney, Paramount, Turner, Funimation.
Service will allow rental and electronic sale. TV shows will be $1.99 per episode, $2.99-$5.99 for movie rental, and $9.99-$14.99 for movie purchase.
Content is portable. Once downloaded on PS3, can be placed on PSP. you will be able to place downloaded content on multiple devices at the same time. With the PSP Slim’s video out feature, you can share the connect to another TV.
New video service will be available starting tonight.

PSN will have a single sign-on. You can sign on at work, see which friends are online. Enjoy PSN whether you have a PS3 or not.
New games on PSN coming. Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty. Shorter game at a lower price. Will retain the high intensity of the bigger budget titles and same humor and excitment. Will be a continuation of the Ratchet and Clank Saga. Some new abilities include an energy tether to manipulate objects, grab a glowing helio grub and use as a torch for dark locations. Will be coming in Summer for $14.99
Other titles coming to PSN: Crash Commando, Fat Princess, Eden Pixeljunk, Pain Amusement Park, Flower, Siren blood Curse, Ragdoll Kungfu.
New Gran Turismo TV coming soon. Will feature footage from racing events around the globe, in-epth look at the racing world, reviews of the newest cars, automated content. Also feature shows such as BBC’s Top Gear. Will be accessed through the PlayStation Network.

Starts off with success of the PlayStation franchise: The systems’ multifunctionality; Blu-ray winning the format war over HD-DVD; exclusive titles and party games. They are the only company to have three successful platforms in the market at once: PS3, PS2, PSP.
Resistance 2 is shown. A huge creature is walking past building skyscrapers, picks up the main character, and throws you over to the next building. You can see the scale of the creature when you reach the top of the building peer at just the level of its eyes. We see lots of throwing around from place to place. Monster throws you again, you crash through glass windows of a bridge, and finally land onto another building far away. All is seen from first person perspective. The game will feature 8 player co-op and 60 player competitive online multiplayer.
Little Big Planet is shown. A custom course is shown and used to show off a presentation. A sort of powerpoint presentation in a Little Big Planet kind of way.
Starting 2008, will begin distribution of products in Latin America.
Greatest Hits program for PS3. Each title will retail at $29.99. Titles announced so far: Resistance, Motorstorm, Warhawk, Call of Duty, Fight Night, Need for Speed, Rainbow six Vegas, Assassin’s Creed, Elder Scrolls, Ninja Gaiden.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced that they will be postponing the launch of their Skype microphone packs for the PSP. The postponement is apparently due to the official microphones not meeting with standards set by Skype. In turn, the launch of the Skype service itself will also be postponed until a solution is decided.

Sony have announced new details surrounding the upcoming Warhawk Beta. Beginning on May 24th, Warhawk will be given a public beta, with the game due for release this fall. Apparently, on it’s release the game will be made available to either download (from the PSN store) or as a boxed game through traditional retailers. If plan to buy the game in a retail store, the game will also come with a Bluetooth headset for in-game conversation.
