REVIEW: Persona 3 (PS2)August 14th, 2007Mark Julio |
It’s been a long wait for Persona fans, but Persona 3 is finally here! Taking a different stylistic approach to the series, the third installment is filled with a gripping story and tons of life like experiences from a typical Japanese high school student. I’ll say it now, before you even read it… Persona 3, so far, is my gaming experience of 2007! Click below to read the full review!

REVIEW: GrimGrimoireJuly 16th, 2007Jason Glick |
If anyone cares, let me just say that I’m sorry this took so long. Lots of business with starting a new job, cons, friends and other stuff really took away from time that should’ve been spent looking at this. That being said, the clever observer would probably note that “GrimGrimoire” couldn’t have been all that great if it didn’t get me to devote all my spare time to it. They’d be correct, but the game’s not all bad. It just goes to show that no matter how engaging a story and characters you have, and no matter how you try to streamline and tweak the interface, real-time-strategy games just don’t work as well as they do on consoles as they do on PCs.

New Persona 3 Video!July 5th, 2007Mark Julio |
On my newest blog entry you can see some footage on the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 , be warned however! There may be SOME spoilers in the video… I basically capped this part of the game to showcase some of the voice acting and interactions between the characters in the game. I honestly think that this is one of the better English voice acting casts in recent history! Well I’ll let you be the judge, check out the video here:

REVIEW: Odin SphereMay 22nd, 2007Jason Glick |
I have to admit, I was really looking forward to tackling this one. The advance buzz indicated that it would probably be the sleeper hit of the summer thanks to its fantastic graphics and intense 2D action. Now, after having sunk many hours of my life into it I can say that the buzz wasn’t quite all that. The game is undeniably beautiful, and the 2D action is intense, but the gameplay isn’t varied enough to avoid repetition if you’re hell-bent on playing through all the game has to offer. I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy the game, as I did have a lot of fun with it, but don’t go in expecting “TEH GREATEST CULT HIT EVAR!!1!”
