Wii MusicJuly 15th, 2008Nate Aguilera |
New music game shown. Drums being played using the Wii Remote + Nunchuck + Wii Balance Board for foot pedal. Shigeru Miyamoto comes out using the Wii Remote like a saxaphone while the drums guy plays in the background.
New game is Wii Music. Will offer a slightly different experience than you’ve seen in past music games. Most games ask you to press buttons with precise timing, matching symbols on screen to compete for strongest performance. With Wii Music, you only need to move your hands and your body like you would when playing a real instrument. The Wii recognizes and performs a note for you. You can press the buttons with a timing of your preference.
You will be able to play over 50 different instruments: Piano, violin, guitar, percussion, taiko drums. Drums played in separate mode, which includes lessons of how to play drums in real life.
One player can play and record each part of a song and then put it together for a single performance. Band has six parts, and can play up to four players. Super Mario Theme used to demonstrate this mode. If you spin around, your character on screen will also spin around. If you point a trimpet up, the trumpet also be raised on screen.
