Lawrence Gets 1-Star Book Ratings January 24th, 2008 Nate Aguilera

Following the rumblings of the Fox News segment on Mass Effect, psychologist Cooper Lawrence is getting spammed the hell out of her latest book and is receiving 1-star ratings on the book’s page on Amazon! Reviews are the likes of “I never read the book, don’t know who she is, and don’t really care what she’s writing about.” Read more after the jump.

EA Calls Out Fox News January 23rd, 2008 Nate Aguilera

EA sent out a letter in response to misrepresentations made by a recent Fox News Channel segment on Mass Effect. It points out that the game does not “show full digital nudity and sex” as the segment claims and debunks the statement that the game is “being marketed to kids and teenagers.” Check out excerpts from the letter after the jump.

REVIEW: Mass Effect November 25th, 2007 Jason Glick

Which developer made the best games on the original Xbox? For me, that’s a question with an easy answer. BioWare. The two games they made for that system,”Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic” and “Jade Empire,” represent some of (if not “the”) best storytelling, writing, and voice acting of the last console generation. If you’re looking for pure action, then the “Halo” games have it beat; but, if you’re like me and you prize storytelling over action, then these games were as good as it got. So when their first Xbox 360 project was announced as “Mass Effect,” I knew that this would be a game worth getting.After playing it, I can say that it is.
