Nucleus, Rupture, EA Mobile

EA introduces Nucleus, a sort of gamer tag profile that will carry your information, scores, accomplishments, etc. across games, even platform-to-platform. Nucleus is planned to be integrated into all EA games shown today.

Rupture announced. Game will allow a means where you can track and challenge your friends across all games and platforms. You can, for example, challenge a friend to complete a challenge that you yourself have just completed. Once issued, your other friends will be notified of the challenge so they can comment and talk trash.

EA Mobile highlights the capabilities of the new 3G iPhone. Three launch titles are announced, Tetris, Sudoku, and Scrabble, all of which are downloadable starting today. With the 3G’s touch screen, you can slow a game down and draw a path for the next Tetris piece. With the accelerometer, you can turn the phone sideways to get a better view of everything happening in Spore Origins. Also with the accelerometer, you can shake the phone to mix up the letters in a game of Scrabble to help you come up with a new word. With the phone’s wifi capabilities, you can also play against friends over wifi connection. Other games announced in development include Tiger Woods, Need for Speed, and Monopoly.
