Mega Man 9 Now Available

Mega Man 9 is now available for Wii on WiiWare. The game will hit the PlayStation Network later this week on September 25th, and on Xbox Live later next week on October 1st.  Proto Man as a playable character through DLC will be available the following week beginning October 6th.

Street Fighter IV Boxart Revealed

Capcom-Unity has revealed the boxart for Street Fighter IV for both the US and UK versions.  The US version features Chun-Li on the front while the UK version features Ryu.  Check the jump for an image of each.   The game will be available for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles early next year.

Soul Calibur IV Receives Balance Patch

The balance patch, Version 1.03, is now live for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Soul Calibur IV.  The patch includes various character changes such as the removal of Ivy’s WS B infinite and Yoshimitsu’s aB+K(CH) to 3AB no longer able to connect.

DDR Celebrates 10th Anniversary

In commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the Dance Dance Revolution franchise,  Konami releases three new titles, two of which come out this week.  This week’s titles are DDR X for PS2 and DDR Hottest Party 2 for Nintendo Wii.  DDR Universe 3 for Xbox 360 will be released one month later on October 14th.  Each will be available in both stand-alone and bundle forms.

Rock Band 2 Now Available

Rock Band 2 is now available for the Xbox 360 as stand-alone disc with new instruments sold seperately. The full on Rock Band 2 Special Edition Bundle for Xbox 360 will be available one month after when the PS3 version and its bundle arrives on October 19th.

STREET FIGHTER IV Arcade Sticks Unveiled!

Kotaku recently reported on the Mad Catz STREET FIGHTER IV arcade sticks and controllers that were on display at the GameStop Expo 2008 at Las Vegas.  Buzz for the sticks particularly so far have been VERY POSITIVE.  Featuring real arcade parts, “easy to swap buttons” and replaceable faceplate art, these could be the best stock arcade sticks ever!  Follow the jump to see pics courtesy of Shin-Rotendo and srt4mike of SRK forums.

PS3 Rock Band Patch; GHIII Controller!

PS3 Rock Band owners will be recieving a patch this Thursday that will allow them to export Rock Band 1 songs  to their hard drive in advance for Rock Band 2!  The other big news is that this patch will allow the Guitar Hero III Les Paul Guitar controller to finally work with Rock Band!

TEKKEN 6 BLOODLINE REBELLION

SDTEKKEN has revealed that an upgraded version to the existing Tekken 6 arcade title has been announced.  Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion is set to be shown at the upcoming Amusement Show on September 20th while its official release is slated to be later this year in December.

At the Leipzig Games Convention, the new PSP-3000 model was made official. It will contain a built-in mic and an improved screen with improved refresh rate and an anti-glare feature to make it easier to view while outside.

The new PSP-3000 will be included in the upcoming Rachet & Clank: Size Matters “Entertainment Pack” alongside National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets on UMD, a voucher to download Echochrome, and a 1GB memory stick.  The pack will retail for $199.99 and is set to ship on October 15.

A new PSP 4GB Entertainment Pack will also be coming soon including a Piano Black PSP-3000,  a 4GB memory stick, and a voucher to download Everyday Shooter.  The pack will also retail for $199.99 and is set to ship in November.
